Stonebwoy had a great concert over the weekend at the O2 Academy in UK but a lot unfolded before his show began.
One of such events was his freestyle and interview session on UK’s Capital Xtra.
Stonebwoy was given the opportunity to prove himself as a great dancehall artiste from Africa and the multiple award winning act underperformed.
In a video that has been circulated online, Stonebwoy was seen fumbling to find lyrics to fix on a freestyle beat live on air.
The dancehall artiste resorted to singing his hit song ‘Mightylele’ and another verse on a feature to save himself from disgrace.
He could not come up with a great freestyle but he was flowing perfectly when he decided to sing some known songs of his on the same beat.
The video has gathered a lot of reactions with most of his fans shockingly applauding his efforts.
Some even compared Stonebwoy’s freestyle on Capital Xtra to that of Shatta Wale’s freestyle on BBC ONE XTRA when he visited UK in 2018.
Their judgement was that Stonebwoy did a much better job than Shatta Wale on a freestyle beat.
It might be that Stonebwoy and Shatta are not great at on-the-spot freestyle but we cannot dispute the fact that they are great songwriters and have churned out monster hits in their music career.
