Referee Kennedy Paddy is a ‘devil’ and came with the scores in his pocket – Alhaji Akambi

Board member of Accra Hearts of Oak Alhaji Braimah Akambi has branded referee Kennedy Paddy who officiated their 1-0 loss to Asante Kotoko as the ‘devil’.

The two rivals clashed in a fierce game that had very little ramifications on the league title as  Hearts of Oak were  4th heading into the clash with Kotoko first with a 13 point gap before the game.

The porcupine warriors were the better team on the balance of play and perhaps should have won more than just the solitary goal.

But the game was not without the usual controversy as for most Hearts fans they still insist the penalty awarded Kotoko for the foul on Fabio Gama by Abdul Aziz Nurudeen was non existent.

“He is a devil. That referee is a devil and should be ashamed of himself for his performance yesterday, genuinely he came with a scoreline in his pocket,” Akambi told Akwaaba Radio in Berekum

“We have only one truth and then we have to say it as it is. I had a call from some countries like America, Canada, and London after the game What’s wrong with the referee?”

“He came with a mindset. What’s he telling people? He was sitting like an angel during the pre-match as if he cannot talk but not knowing he was having a mindset whiles we were thinking about the beauty of the game. He knows what he was thinking about, and might even see us as fools.”

Hearts of Oak will now turn their attention to the MTN FA Cup as they play Skyy FC in the quarter final on Sunday.
