The Concern Youth of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), in the Aowin Constituency, has called on party’s hierarchy to dismiss their Constituency Executives for allegedly campaigning against the candidature of Mr Edward Osei which led to his defeat at the just-ended polls.
Mr Edward Osei gained a total of 22,881 votes leading to his defeat to Mr Oscar Ofori Larbi of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who garnered 28,294 to become the Member of Parliament-elect.
The Concern Youth staged a demonstration on Friday, December 18, to show their displeasure towards their constituency executives.
Kwesi Mintah, the group conveyor who addressed the media said the Aowin constituency executives do not care about the progress of the party.
He explained that before the elections, the Constituency Chairman, Mr Samuel Boadi was going round perpetuating lies about their Parliamentary Aspirant, claiming his health conditions were at stake and that destabilized him.
Kwesi Mintah revealed that the elephant family in the constituency were surprised to hear their chairman, Mr Samuel Boadi describing the Parliamentary Aspirant as a wicked and selfish man who kept items which were supposed to be given to their supporters.
He said the constituency executives hoped for the downfall of their parliamentary aspirant of which their target was achieved perfectly.
According to the group Convenor, the Constituency Executives mean nothing to them and their services are no more needed in the New Patriotic Party.
He ended by calling on the Party’s hierarchy at the regional and national level to dismiss their Constituency Executives as soon as possible.
