Tamale South Member of Parliament Haruna Iddrisu has told Muntaka Mubarak that regardless of how hard he tries, he cannot change his demeanour.
Hon. Muntaka is on record to have chased Hon. Carlos Ahenkorah of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)
According to him, he will continue to remain the calm and quiet strategist he is as the leader of the NDC caucus in Parliament.
He made this known while giving reverence to Hon. Muntaka Mubarak for his showmanship in Parliament when Carlos Ahenkorah stole ballot papers and bolted.
“So to our MPs, I can only say Kudos. So let today be dedicated to Hon. Muntaka not Haruna. He knows I keep telling him that he can’t change me. I am still a quiet, persuasive strategist. I can’t run as he did. He didn’t have my permission but he ran to protect the ballot,”Haruna said while praising Muntaka at a party to celebrate the feat chalked in Parliament.
On his part, the former President of Ghana and leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama reminded the NDC of the need for unity in the political party in these times because there is no force which can beat a people who are united.
