A form three Students named Dorothy Mensah of Aisha Islamic Basic school in Mankessim in the Mfantseman Municipality has met her untimely dead after cement truck run over her when returning from school.
Information gathered by Adom FM Central Regional Correspondent Kofi Otabil revealed that the 17 year old student was crossing th road where the top speeding cement truck knocked her down and run over her to dead.
5 other students who were with the deceased from the same school were also injured and they quickly rushed them to Mankessim Roman Hospital receiving treatment.
Speaking to Adom News reporter Kofi Otabil, some of the eyewitnesses explained that,most accident do occurs at the Mankessim Volta Bar junction because there is no Speed rump on the road.
They also added to it that,the Mfantseman Municipal Assembly should sack those who sells along the road side from there and also dealt with drivers who packed and load passengers along the roadside to save life of people especially students.
The Angry eyewitness also blamed the Municipal Chief Executive for Mfantseman Municipality Hon.Kenneth Kelley Essuman for his failed promises, according to the eyewitness,the MCE also promise them anytime he speaks to them on the local radio stations at Mankessim that he will construct a speed rump,sack over crowded people selling on the roadside and sack drivers who load along the road side but couldn’t filled his promises.
In all 8 Students from Aisha Islamic Basic School knocked down by a speedy vehicles of which one is dead and other 6 are recieving treatment at Mankessim Roman Hospital,one who is in critical condition is also receiving treatment at Cape Coast Teaching Hospital.
The mother of the deseased Sister Baaba who couldn’t hold her tear also blamed the Municipal Chief Executive for Mfantseman for the accurance due to failure to construct speed rump on the road.
According to the Deceased mother,she is the only daughter she has and been helping her at home.
The Body of the 17 year old Form 3 student at Aisha Islamic Basic School has been deposited at Saltpond Mortuary whiles police is doing investigation to the matter.
