“Campaign Ended Yesterday, Do Not Break The Law By Addressing The Nation Today” – Manasseh Azure

The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in some few hours ago released a notice through his official Facebook account that he will be addressing the Nation ahead of the Election on Monday.

But the freelancer journalist, seems to believe that the President might use the occasion to say one or two words which might be a message of campaigning. Mostly, the President has been addressing the Nation on measures taken to combat the spread of Covid-19 ahead of an occasion like that.

But looking at Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s post below carefully, it is clear that, it is not an update on measures taken to combat Covid-19 on the day of election, Monday 7th December 2020.

So the controversial investigative and anti-corruption journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni seems to believe that, what Nana Addo is going to address will be mixed with last minute campaign message to Ghanaians to get their attention for the last time and maybe convince some Ghanaians last minute.

This is what he wrote on his official Facebook account:

“The campaign ended yesterday. No candidate should break the law by campaigning under the guise of addressing the nation”. What do you think of Manasseh Azure’s claim? Will President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s last Nation address be a campaign message or measures taken to combat the spread of Corona virus.
