Court throws out contempt case brought against Kumasi Club Chairman

A Kumasi High Court presided over by Justice Francis Obiri has dismissed a contempt case brought before it by two aggrieved members in the names of Francis Oppong and John Nketia.

The case was against Chairman of Kumasi Club, Richard Owusu Nyarko (Bsc, MHCM – MBA, (MB ChB/Ph.D student) who Francis Oppong and John Nketia believe has overstayed his tenure as the leader of the club.

The court after listening to the arguments of Lawyer Abdulai of Crown Legal Bureau Accra for the respondent, Richard Owusu Nyarko and Lawyer Alfred Quarshie of Majesty law consult in kumasi representing the applicants, John Nketia and Francis Oppong the court dismissed the contempt case against Richard Owusu Nyarko.

In court with the Plaintiffs/Applicants were Mr Norman Owusu Barnie (embattled trustee who is alleged to have forged documents to steal Kumasi Club together with Mr Kwame brenyah, one charles Asabere (dismissed staff still holding himself as a worker of the club) and Emmanuel Daning (unknown to the club) whose criminal docket has been forwarded to the Attorney general’s department in Accra for advice.
