Assin Central’s Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Agyapong, has announced that he is the highest paying member of the House of Ghana.
In an interview with Adom TV, the MP said that MPs struggle a lot in the quiet, contrary to the public notion that parliamentary work is a profitable sector.
He clarified that the reason he is the House’s highest-paid leader is that most of his peers have taken lenders, especially car loans, which are deducted monthly at origin.
He revealed that he has no loans, but at the end of each month, he gets his exact paycheck.
We all take our wages correctly, but in terms of what goes into my account each month, I am actually the highest-paid MP. He clarified that much of the MP’s car loan that is deducted from their salaries every month is owed.
