The Global Eco village Network Ghana in collaboration with Ghana Permaculture Institute has organized one day workshop training for over One Hundred (100) Women and Youth on Climate Change Adaptation and its impact on human lives on Friday 20th November, 2020 at Akrofrom Roman Catholic Church Premises in Techiman North District in the Bono East Region.
Mr. Paul Yeboah, Founder and Executive Director of Ghana Permaculture Institute, President of Global Eco village Network Ghana in an interview with the media after the training said, human activities such as cutting of trees, burning of car tyres, throwing of waste rubber products on our lands are the major causes of disease outbreaks, delay in rainfall pattern that has brought many causes on human lives now.
He indicated that climate change adaptation is a global crisis that needs to take serious by everyone.
He advised the public to plants trees, desist throwing of waste rubber on our land, recycle waste materials into used products, such as left over foods can be processed into organic fertilizer.
On her part, Miss Limbadega Linda Coordinator for the Training Programme advised the youth to be agents of ensuring proper transformation in climate change adaptation.
She indicated that the future of the world lies on the youth; therefore all youth must join the climate change adaptation campaign to attain United Nation Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s)
Miss Limbadega Linda again said the future of humanity and of our planet lies in our hands. It also lies in the hands of the today’s younger generation who will pass the torch to future generations. She revealed
Some of Participants that took part in the training spoke in an interview with the media commended the organization for organizing the workshop and promise to be volunteers of the climate.
