The Presidential Candidate of the Ghana Union Movement(GUM) in the 2020 Presidential election, Christian Kwabena Andrews aka Osofo Kyiri Abosom has served notice that he’ll put President-elect, Nana Akufo Addo on his toes after he’s sworn into office in January 2021.
According to him, he’s poised to play his role effectively as opposition leader and will offer constructive criticism to the President to ensure that he does the right things always.
“President Akufo Addo must lace up his boots as he’ll not have things easy at all for the next four years. I’m not going to sleep because the election is over. As soon as he’s sworn in in January I will be on him constantly. I’m going to hunt him every day to ensure he does the right thing,” Osofo Kyiri abosom said in an interview on Adom FM monitored by Kasapafmonline.com.
He disclosed that he’ll be back to contest the 2024 elections and ensure he wins that election to put Ghana back on the track of development.
“My wish is that Ghanaians will understand that GUM has come to stay. We invite everyone to come on board so that we restructure everything well. I will return in 2024, we are now going to restructure the party and prove to Ghanaians that we’re a serious party. That is the only way our leaders will be challenged to do the right thing. I’m not going to relax at all.”
Osofo Kyiri Abosom polled 105,548 votes representing 0.805% of the total vote cast in December 7, 2020, general elections being the third candidate with the highest number of votes.
