Nigerians React After Court In Ghana Sentenced Two Nigerians To Death By Hanging For Kidnapping And Killing Four Girls

Nigerians have flooded social media with a flurry of reactions after two of their compatriots, Samuel Udoetuk Wills and John Oji were sentenced to death by hanging for kidnapping and killing four girls who the media often referred to as the Takoradi missing girls.

The four victims — Ruth Abekah, 18, Priscilla Blessing Bentum, 21, Ruth Love Quayson, 18, and Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie, 15, went missing between July and December 2018 in the Sekondi-Takoradi metropolis.

According to a Graphic Online report, the two have been given 30 days within which they can appeal the sentence that has been slapped on them.

The report indicated that the two were found guilty by the seven-member jury at the Sekondi High Court on Friday, March 5, 2021.

The High Court presided over by Justice Richard Adjei-Frimpong, a Court of Appeal Judge with additional responsibility as a High Court judge, gave the sentence after the 7-member jury found them guilty.
