A heavy rainstorm has ripped off 15 houses including R/C Basic School and an International School at Dibibi a farming Community in the Tain District of the Bono Region.
The rainstorm has displaced learning and teaching materials including personal belongings of residents in the community.
The District Coordinator of NADMO,Mr. Oppong Andrews told Radio West Africa, Nana Anfreh Damanta that the rain started at about 8 pm on Tuesday March 17,2021 ripped off roofing with at least two people have been injured.
350 people have been rendered homeless forcing some of the affected persons to sleep with family and friends Mr. Oppong Andrews said.
Properties destroys by the rainstorm wealth GH¢40,000.00 the NADMO Coordinator explained.
Mr. Oppong Andrews added that the situation affected teaching and learning materials of the International School have been collapsed.
The JHS 3 students are on midterm and will resumes on Monday so if we don’t do something about it will affect teaching and learning Mr. Oppong Andrews emphasized.
He further added that he was going to report the tragedy the the Bono Regional Coordinator of NADMO and the District Chief Executive for Tain for immediate reactions.
