Mr.Prince Joseph Soregan, a Charted Accountant and Mr.Sarpong Francis, Manager of Techiman BACCSOD Bank, have both charged Ghanaians to pay taxes as expected to help in the development of the country.
Speaking to journalists in Techiman in an interview about the 2021 Budget Statement and the Economic Policy read by Hon.Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, the duo said no government can govern a country without taxes and borrowing hence the introduction of Sanitation tax,Covid tax etc is to the benefit of Ghanaians.
The duo tax experts urged politicians not to demonized Borrowing because the rate of borrowing should be prudent to the benefit all the citizenry and appealed all eligible tax payers to embrace the new tax system and said if we do that appropriately they would be a time Ghana won’t borrow money from the IMF or any other country but rather would be self sufficient.
