United Nations Human Right office has condemned Ghana over the arrest and detention of 21 LGBT activists.
The 21 activists where arrest in at a conference in Ho, on May 21, 2021 by a group of police and some media personnel.
They were arraigned before court for unlawful gathering and the court remanded them for 14 days.
As the 14 days elapse, the court has denied them bail.
I still cannot believe 21 activists are still in police custody. And I cannot get past the silence of our human-rights-activist president on this injustice. pic.twitter.com/BbAokodqeW
