National Best Cocoa Farmers and Cocoa Farmers in the Ahafo Region have appeal to the President, Nana Akuffo Addo to maintain the position of Mr. Joseph Boahen Aidoo as the CEO for Ghana Cocobod.
The National Best Farmers and the Cocoa Farmers made this humble appeal when they held a Press Conference at Duayaw Nkwanta in the Ahafo Region to congratulate the Government for their support to Cocoa Farmers in the 2020 season.
In attendance were the 1993 National Best Cocoa Farmer, 2016 National Best Cocoa Farmer, 2018 National Best Cocoa Farmer and 2019 National Best Farmer and some Cocoa Farmers in Ahafo Region.
Mr. Opoku Gyamfi who is the 2016 National Best Cocoa Farmer explained to the media why they are appealing to the President to Mr. Joseph Boahen Aidoo as the CEO for Cocobod.
He mentioned the effort Mr. Joseph Boahen Aidoo has played in ensuring prizes of cocoa is equal to the prizes of La Cote D’ Ivoire and also increase of Cocoa Prizes in the 2020 season.
Mr. Charles Gyamfi who is the 2018 National Best Cocoa Farmer, 2019 National Best Farmer and doubles as Africa’s Best Agriculturist also explained to the media reasons for the appeal to the President to maintain Joseph Boahen Aidoo as the CEO for Cocobod.
He also mentioned the Cocoa Rehabilitation Programme, Cocoa Farmers Pension Scheme, Increase of Cocoa Prizes and the entire role Mr. Joseph Boahen Aidoo has played in the Cocoa Farming Sector which has really helped them.
Therefore appealing to the Government to maintain Mr. Joseph Boahen Aidoo for his hard work.
