A member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has chastised the Akufo-Addo administration for its failure to protect the public purse.
Wonder Madilo said contrary to what Akufo-Addo campaigned on in opposition, the public purse is being mismanaged under the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) administration.
The development analyst was reacting to the demonstration organised by the NDC youth wing to seek justice for the family of a social activist Ibrahim Mohammed (Kaaka) who was murdered by a mob last week.
Kaaka’s death sparked an angry protest at Ejura in the Ashanti region last Tuesday where a joint task force of police and military shot sporadically into the civilians, killing two.
6 others were injured in the process, sparking a national conversation on insecurity in the country
Apart from demanding justice for the families of the deceased in the Ejura killing last week, Madilo who was speaking on the Morning Update on TV XYZ emphasised that their protest was also to ask the president to clamp down on corruption.
