Mahama denies commenting on Owusu Bempah’s arrest

Former President John Dramani Mahama says he has not commented on the arrest of Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah, Founder and Leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministries.

A statement by Mr Mahama’s aide, James Agyenim Boateng said the reports claiming the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2020 elections has commented on the matter are fake and should be ignored.

“Former President John Dramani Mahama has not made any pronouncement on the arrest of Rev. Owusu-Bempah.

“Ignore the fake news,” Mr Agyenim Boateng revealed in a tweet on Thursday September 16.

Rev Owusu Bempah was arrested together with four others for allegedly issuing threats, brandishing weapons and attacking Police officers on Sunday, September 12.
