NDC must also match for the flying guinea fowls, airbus and bus branding scandals- Bawumia

The Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has asked the hypocritical NDC to rather march for accountability of the monies wasted on non-existing SADA projects, the Guinea fowls that flew to Burkina Facso and not for probity and accountability.

The Vice President made this known when he was addressing students at the Yendi Senior High School in the Northern region of Ghana.

“Today after the death of the former President may his soul rest in peace Jerry John Rawlings, they are out there saying they are marching in his honour for probity and accountability. Where was probity and accountability when they were chopping the SADA money, they should be marching for the SADA Guinnea fowls, not for probity and accountability. That’s the march they should be doing and we will see what accountability they have given.

They should be marching for the bus branding scandal, they should be marching for the Airbus scandal that is the probity and accountability Ghanaians want to see”, he challenged.

The Vice President noted that while the late former President was alive, the NDC called him names and rained several insults on him so he cannot fathom why a party that insulted its founder will turn around to claim that they are marching for probity and accountability in his honour.

“When John Rawlings was alive, they did not march for probity and accountability they were rather disrespecting him,. They were calling him the barking dog, Volta God, they were disrespecting him. They brought babies with sharp teeth to attack him.Now that he’s dead, they say they are marching for probity and accountability. Their march should be names the march for hypocrisy and dishonesty.”

The National Democratic Congress and other CSOs and private individuals have earmarked November 26, 2020 for a Probity and Accountability March in the memory of the late former President Jerry John Rawlings.
