Empress Gifty has in recent times been on the receiving end of a lot of backlashes from her colleague gospel artistes after performing at Stonebwoy’s ‘BHIM Concert’ and Kofi Kinaaata’s ‘Made in Takoradi’ Concert.
When asked about it in a recent interview with Citi TV’s Chris Kata on ‘The Chat’ show, Empress Gifty said she enjoyed all the backlash from the gospel community.
“I enjoyed it,” she admitted. “I’m a game-changer; I set the pace for others to follow. Very soon you’ll see them doing it.”
According to Empress Gifty, ‘them’ in the context as she stated refers to Gospel artistes who live their lives with double standards.
“In their houses, they jam to secular songs. When they are out in public, they pretend. I don’t want to be like them; I’m a real person, and I say things as they are.”
